Today is Earth Day. How wonderful that we’ve found ONE day to celebrate our earth! Perfect sense! Well, as I was reading tweets from all of my environmentally conscious “friends” (if only for the day), I thought about that documentary “No Impact Man.” I was finally able to see it after I moved (shout out to Netflix). Around the time I moved, I began to think of ways to… save our poor little planet. Not because I care that much about our earth but simply because being wasteful costs money, especially when I am the sole being footing all of the bills for my new place.
The guy in the documentary managed to downsize on his carbon footprint in more ways than his wife was comfortable with, but as I watched, I couldn’t help but think how environmentally conscious and earth friendly anyone who was concerned with their finances has always been. My family and I have always been helping to save our planet as long as we’ve been here. Want to know how we did it and how you can be just as earth conscious AND frugal not just on Earth Day but everyday of your life?
Look below…
FYI: This post is absolutely biased to New Yorkers.

I’ve done my research! I’m going to London VERY soon so I’ve been spending the last few weeks looking up places to go/see while I’m there. I even asked you guys if you knew of any place I should visit.

Do any of you have other vacationing tips? What to pack? How to pack? What to do during my 6 HOUR FLIGHT?! Should I tweet while I’m away? Do you guys want me to blog about the experience while I’m there? Let me know!

Well… not right now but soon. I’ll be going to London soon to visit Rhonesha before she comes back to the states.

Anyone ever been to London before? Do you guys have any suggestions for places I should visit?
What about Paris? I’m going to try to do a day trip there and I would love some some suggestions. This will be my first time going to both places so I want to see as much as possible while I’m there.
And not to worry, I’m going to photograph EVERYTHING while I’m there! I hope you guys haven’t forgotten about my… “skills.” HA!

Just like when I went to Houston, if you follow me on Twitter, then you’ve probably already seen all of these pictures. I went to California this weekend to hang out with Phalary, EAT (!!!), and see my latest hip-hop hero Fashawn perform in Sacramento.

Phalary and I at My BBQ Spot in Sac.

If you’re following me on twitter, then there’s a chance that you’ve seen a few of these pictures already. Earlier this week, I traveled to Houston, Texas with my friend Emily and her dad to work on a book project. Em’s dad interviewed basketball Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy (pictured below)…

and William “Willie” Naulls.
To see more pics of our trip (they’re mostly of us eating a lot of food), look below…

I totally meant to do this post before I left New York but I guess it doesn’t make much of a difference. I’ll be in Houston, Texas until later this week…

working on a book project with Em and her dad. We just came back from doing our first interview for the trip and I’m looking forward to the next.
Hopefully I’ll be able to post some pics of the trip when I get back this weekend. Until then, you can check out our tweet photos here.

As I’m sure you all know, my birthday was a little more than a week ago. I spent my special day in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with my mom. You can see my original post about my trip here.
We left on Sunday and came back last Friday. I had such a great time and finally got a chance to really RELAX! No AIM, no Twitter, no Facebook, Myspace, texting, BBM, phone… NONE OF THAT! haha! I also didn’t kill myself trying to record the whole trip with pictures and video of everything. Some of you might be surprised by how draining that could be while on vacation. That is why these will probably be the only 2 pics you’ll see that I took while away.

In case anyone is thinking of traveling to DR, I would definitely recommend staying at the same place I did. For pics of the resort and more, look below…

It will officially OFFICIALLY be my birthday at 10:10 tonight but I’ve been celebrating since I left the states this weekend. I’m proud so of all the accomplishments I’ve made so far and I’m totally looking forward to everything in my future.
Thanks to all of you who have joined me on this journey and I hope I’ll be able to thank you again in another 10 years. Maybe not on this blog but hey… you never know!
