The folks who put on the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival every year are looking for an assistant for Wes Jackson, the President of Brooklyn Bodega and Executive Director of The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival.

Brooklyn Bodega and The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival is looking for a talented and motivated individual to help execute various projects including the Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, BrooklynBodega.com and digital record label, Savannah Boogie Music and Song. Responsibilities: Position will essentially mirror and support Pres/Exec Dir. Responsibilities will be as follows with varying degrees of intensity

· Manage BHF 2010 Project Plan
· Project Manage Release(s) on Savannah Boogie Music and Song
· Supervise editorial schedule for www.BrooklynBodega.com
· Manage daily schedule of President/Executive Director and other key Bodega and BHF staff
· Business Development/Sales

Qualifications:

· Passion for Hip-Hop Music and Culture
· Above average writing skills
· Excellent inter personal communication skills · Highly organized
· Able to pay attention to details as well as think big picture
· Self motivated
· Able to work independently
· Work well with deadlines
· Above average multi-tasker
· Marketing and branding experience a plus. Especially the use of social networks as marketing tools
· HTML experience a plus
· Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and/or design experience a plus
· Sales/Cold Calling/Biz Dev

Term: Monday, February 1, 2010 to Friday, July 2, 2010
