Piperlime’s First Store

I’ve been rocking with Piperlime since it’s inception in 2007 so it felt right that I be at the first store to open, right here in New York (especially since I hadn’t been to any of the pop-ups).

I was invited to the opening celebration pre-FNO so here’s the recap with pics.

“A little birdie told us you love our website… we’re even better looking in person.” Hmph… just like me. HAHA! I joke, I joke, I kid, I kid.

The event started at 6p and by 5:50p, the line was filled with women…

There were birds everywhere…

and, of course, plenty of shoes…

and food!

For more on the new Piperlime store, look below…

I couldn’t get a shot of the grilled cheese sandwiches but they were the first, IN MY ENTIRE LIFE that I didn’t spit out immediately. Gosh, I wish I knew what kind of cheese they used.

I’ve been looking for brown booties (or rather, shooties) for the last few weeks and had been looking at these Dolce Vita’s online for a couple of days…

but when they didn’t fit or look the way I wanted (I swear they looked like my mom’s boots), one of the stylist started searching Piperlime.com for me!

There was LOTS of denim…

and lots of jewelry…

stuff for those of us “GIRL[S] ON A BUDGET”…

and not one…

but TWO artists!

One of those artists, Brooke Hagel, sketched me.

She got my favorite heart shaped belt but missed my new favorite kicks.

Vogue sponsored the event and sent all the guests home with that social studies textbook sized September issue. You all don’t know how I struggled home with all of my bags AND that mag.

Piperlime.com turned into a one-stop-shop when they introduced accessories and clothing and now their first brick-and-mortar will make last minute searching for a quick outfit so much easier to get through.

If you’re not celebrating Fashion’s Night Out somewhere in Soho as I type, make sure you visit the new, permanent, Piperlime store at 121 Wooster Street.
