I may have mentioned either here or on my twitter page that I moved back to Clinton Hill at the close of 2010. Since my original move in ‘04, I’ve grown very attached to my neighborhood and so, like my old neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant, I know it like the back of my hand.

This is why when I noticed the Bike Month ads on the train I was happy to see the one above. MY NEIGHBORHOOD! I squealed to myself when I saw it. And then…

I saw this one. That’s not Williamsburg! FRAUD! I thought to myself. This is also a photo of Fort Greene(-Clinton Hills). It’s actully the same exact block pictured in the first photo but taken from a different angle.
Why not just photograph the places that are actually named in each ad? Things like that bother me just as much as TV shows that depict gritty NY streets but are really shot in California (i.e., Friends, Seinfeld, Criminal Minds, etc.)

Do any of you guys remember the first time I went short? Right after I graduated from Baruch, I decided to go for a new look and cut my hair short. My hairdresser Liv, formally of the Jospeh Tyler Salon worked her magic and gave me the cut which was just perfect for me… at the time.

After some more evolving, 2 apartments, and 1 job later, Liv has done it again. I’ve changed my look once more. Wanna see? Look below…

Have you checked out HerAgenda.com lately? If you haven’t, you should. Rhonesha of HerAgenda.com created the “Embody the Motto” campaign based around her own motto of “No one Ever Slows Her Agenda.” I, along with 5 other young ladies, am featured in that campaign.

Check out my interview…

My FAVORITE high school teacher (and neighbor… hehe) was featured in a New York Times article earlier this week. She wasn’t the subject of the story but her guest appearance defintely grabbed my attention. The article is about a company in LIC, Queens that donates free supplies to different organizations as well as public schools. If anyone reading this works anywhere in fashion, you should probably read the article.
If you haven’t already downloaded DJ Will Gates’ latest mixtape, Lovey Dubby S#!t, Part 3, please do so now. He’s probably one of the only people that can REALLY introduce me to new artists, because otherwise, I wouldn’t normally listen.
If you’re looking for an internship, check out Harlem sneaker boutique Goliath. They’re searching for interns with knowledge of photoshop and good writing skills. If you’re interested, e-mail them at GoliathRF@verizon.net.

It just so happens that today I’m going to Equinox with Dominique to… work out (I guess) and I found the sports bra pictured below (without even looking). The Trenta Bra is supposed to be the most expensive sports bra on the market. At $1,850 it is pretty pricey.

“Attached to this uber stylish sports bra is a gunmetal sterling silver bracelet and necklace from K&H’s Trenta collection. The jewelry is removable and can be worn as a necklace with bracelet or as a long necklace. There is gunmetal burnout fabric used on the sides of the bra, which adds ventilation and chicness.” — via Body Rock Sport
Aside from the fact that I probably couldn’t fill this out nicely without the help of Charmin, I def won’t be hitting the gym in this. I hope Dom is prepared to be seen with me in my red leggings and Converse!
