Don’t Use Clear

When I moved back in December of 2010, I was forced to find my own internet service provider since all of my neighbors had their wifi connections password protected. I decided to go with Clear only because it was the first commercial I’d seen for wireless, mobile internet.

In case you were wondering, yes, the service IS that bad. I can barely stream YouTube videos when I want and the Clear coverage ISN’T that good. I went to Virginia and couldn’t use the service in any of the 3, very popular/populated cities I visited. This is the worst interent service I’ve ever used and I would advise all of you AGAINST signing a contract with them.

Assata R.: is there some1 that can call me? now i’m having MAJOR issues w/this device. i’m on the phone w/tech support &this guy is NOT helping. 646-***-**** please call me. this device was working as late as 12:30am. at 8:00a when i tried to turn it on, it wouldn’t. i plugged it up to the wall and the red power light came on. i tried turning it on, the 4g lite blinked lk it normally does then it shut off. i called tech suport and did a series of tests and it still wont work. the tech said he’d place me on hold to see if there was a location near me to switch out my device. after having me on hold for ~5min, he came back and said i’d have 2pay $69 for a new device plus shipping. idk how it went from me switching out a device that i’ve had for less than 6mo to me purchasing yet ANOTHER defective device. if there isn’t anyone that can solve this issue i’m having by 1pm, i want to cancel my service. i’m already paying for service that is often slow and for the 3rd time in 30 days, im not even able to use it. it’s unfair to me and it makes me look like a liar since i’ve been referring people to clear since i first got the service less than a year ago. someone, PLEASE get back to me. 646-***-****

Karen: I can help you with that but there is a $9.95 shipping fee and you will need to return your existing device.

I thought I had made the whole… I’m not paying you people any more money thing quite clear with my very first statement in the chat.

I started this post at about 9am this morning. It is now 10:45am. I have already cancelled my service with Clear but now I’m fighting with them to try and have them waive the early termination fee. For some reason, no one over there understands I had no choice but to cancel my service since I wasn’t getting what I signed up for. You’d think they’d be a little nicer and just let me go but they wanted to put up a fight. And so, we’ll fight.

You’ve been warned. STAY AWAY FROM CLEAR!
