For the past 8 days, I’ve been interning at BCBG Max Azria in the Public Relations department. This was the first experience I had working with such a large company so close to Fashion Week.
Hectic wouldn’t be the correct word to describe how fast paced the environment was but seeing all of the hard work from the last few days paying off was nice. Check out my slideshow with a few behind-the-scenes shots from backstage at Sunday’s BCBG Max Azria show.
After a mini-rant on Twitter about how much I loved using Soap.com to order some household goods, I decided it would be best to post here exactly why. I figured, why not tell you guys about a couple of other things I’m feeling now.
I ordered 30-count Zyrtec, and 4 different types of laundry detergent. Without coupons, all of that would have cost me about $45 between the supermarkets and pharmacys I frequent. With Soap.com, it all cost $35 (including taxes and shipping)! When my package game, there was a letter from the owners of Soap.com as well as two, pre-paid postage envelopes so that I could mail them my manufacturer coupons. Yes, they ALSO accept mfr. coupons.

I don’t like V-Day. You guys should know that by now so I started my shopping early (last Friday). For all of you looking to catch up with me and start treating yourselves, retailers are absolutely willing to give a helping hand.
Want 20% off at the Gap? Use code GAPLOVE ::barf:: at checkout. And as always, if you spend more than $50, your order ships for free.
I normally hate this time of year. I don’t spend much (if ANY) time at the shows and seeing all of the skinnies models running around NYC can be a little intimidating, so being anywhere near Lincoln Center normally isn’t an option. But, this year is different. I’ve found work! WOOHOO! I’ll be working with a few new companies in the coming weeks so I’m excited about the shows and all of the surrounding events. Here are a few I’ll be at:

H&M announced today that they will be launching their first collaboration line with a blogger. I remember back in 2007 when H&M denounced bloggers in their magazine.
You can check out the full post from that mag on Nitrolicious.com. It didn’t take very long after that magazine came out for H&M to begin treating blogs like press (see: every blog that has ever posted press pics DIRECT FROM H&M in the last 3 years, including this one). Now, they’re not only collaborating with major designers but with bloggers (maybe more collabos to come?) on designer collections. The collection, which will be released in Sweden, signifies another step forward in H&M’s evolution.
