Yume is doing it....

again.

If you've been to a Yume party before, you already know how they get down.

My advice to the ladies attending: Do not... DO NOT get your hair done! You will be very sorry. Pull it back in a cute ponytail or a sleek bun and keep it moving. It gets pretty warm in there so make sure you put on enough swipes of deodorant. That goes for the guys too!

left on the Delia's clearance sale!

I ordered 3 tees from Delia's on Friday and it only came up to... $30 I think including shipping and handling. The tees usually go down to as far as $5.99 when they have these clearances so I try not to buy any when they first come out. I can end up saving something close to $20 a shirt every time. Another thing I do is google "Delia's Discount Codes" to bring the total price down at checkout. You can do this for almost every site you shop on.

You can also use the code DWGW75 at checkout for free shipping on order $75 and more. HAPPY SHOPPING!

ACQUITED ON ALL CHARGES!!

More below...

CHICAGO (AP) -- A Chicago jury has acquitted R&B superstar R. Kelly on all counts at his child pornography trial. The verdict came six years after the singer was first charged with appearing on a graphic videotape with a girl prosecutors said was as young as 13 at the time.

Both Kelly and the now 23-year-old alleged victim had denied they were on the tape. Neither testified during the trial.

The prosecution's star witness was a woman who said she engaged in three-way sex with Kelly and the girl prosecutors said was on the tape. Defense attorneys argued the man on the tape didn't have a large mole on his back and Kelly does.

The singer had faced 15 years in prison. His hits include "I Believe I Can Fly," "Bump N' Grind" and "Ignition." via AP

so I googled myself...

this morning (don't ask me why), and of course, nothing too amazing came up, just a whole bunch of sites where I left comments under the name "assataSAYS". I also kind of tracked who credited me on their blogs for certain things. On like the third page, I found this video.

Qiana... Stephen... don't hate me! lol... For an explanation, look below.

There is no real explanation. I got my first digital camera in 12th grade and I just kind of carried it everywhere and taped the antics of two of my classmates, close friends, and fellow Socialites. You have to admit, it is kinda funny. And for any of my Fashion High readers, yes, that is Ms. Serrano cackling in the background.

I was looking around on JetBlue yesterday trying to find a cheap flight to DR for the winter and when I looked under the package deals, one of the listings included a vacation to San Fransisco. And what do you know... they used "Hey Bay Bay" as a reference to the Bay area. I just thought this was kind of interesting. First, because of the relationship to the song "Ay Bay Bay" by Hurricane Chris. Second, because the song referenced had NOTHING to do with San Francisco but rather had to do with Chris' DJ (I knew nothing about his DJ until my cousin from Alabama explained it to me).

Anywho, I haven't been going too deep into the election for fear of making myself seem foolish. Honestly, I really don't follow it too much. I read the times and stuff but I can't keep up because as far as I'm concerned, the politicians will NEVER work for me. I AM voting for Obama though.

{UPDATE} for once i can say...

that I like someone's music. Like... all of it. Not just one song or one album. I really like Lloyd's music. Girls Around the World is one of my favorite songs right now and I'm so glad they released the video. I'm not so glad about how the video came out. You can read more about that after the jump.

UPDATE...
They took down the 106&Park video and I couldn't find another version to replace it so for now you'll, have to settle for this. Sorry.

Lloyd feat. Lil' Wayne - Girls Around the World

Lloyd makes satisfying music for me but his look kinda creeps me out. Like he's too too pretty or something. I thought he was a girl in the last 15 seconds of the video when he has his back turned and his hair blown out. ugh... but you know... whatever sells those albums and keeps him on a label. His album Lessons in Love will be released on Tuesday, July 22, 2008.

well i heard a few...

people were asking about me last week because I was no where to be found. Well.... I told you guys I was going on a vacation. I went to Montgomery, Alabama (gasp!) to visit fam. Yes, it is country. No the Ku Klux Klan were not banging on the front door. (You'd be surprised the kind of questions I was asked when I told people that's where I went). Here are a couple pics from my trip.

To see more from my trip, look below.

On one of my first days there, my cousins took me Downtown, Montgomery to visit the church where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. pastored during the Civil Rights Movement. We watched a 20minute film in the churches basement on the time period and toured the entire church.

After that we visited the house where King and his family lived while he pastored at Dexter Memorial. The house was kept the SAME EXACT way it was when the Kings lived there. If i remember correctly, 2 other families lived in the house after, but Coretta Scott King and members of the church helped to put the original pieces back into the house or find duplicates of furniture, household items, and other pieces. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside the house but you can take my word for it, it was beautiful and kind of creepy. I almost cried walking through because there was so much history in that house.

Midnight runs to Krispy Kreme!!!!!!!

My cousin playing softball. Her team was sooooo close to winning but they didn't quite make it.

The last two are more pics from Downtown on my last day in Montgomery. We visited a couple more places that day. I'll upload more pics when I get a chance.

felow brooklynites....

in case you didn't know...

Yup. To read more, look below.

I don't remember if I said it before but it's getting more and more expensive to live in New York and the opening of Ikea in RED HOOK (of ALL PLACES IN BROOKLYN!!) is proving it. Soon it'll be impossible for my family and I to stay here. :(

We love Brooklyn but I don't think Brooklyn loves us anymore. There's also an Urban Outfitters Downtown, Brooklyn near LIU on Atlantic Avenue if you didn't know. Screw Jay-Z for him wanting to bring the Nets to Brooklyn!! I blame him and that Ratner dude.

if you're into phones....

you may want to check this out.

I've been shopping around for a new phone for the last couple of weeks. I've had a Razr for the last 4 years(appx.) and it's been annoying me for the last couple of months. I was going to get a Curve or 8800 but I decided to wait a bit. I'm glad I did because I came across the Blackberry Bold 9000. To see more of what this smartphone can do, watch this video. It's around 6 minutes but it's worth it.

I don't know
