This is a time when I'm glad I have a place to really speak my mind! I'm extremely upset with the textbook company Valore Books. I ordered a textbook from them on January 14 (the beginning of the Spring 2008 semester). I did NOT order an international copy and was not expecting one. When I got the book, it was NOT the same book pictured on the site. I kept the book and only opened it ONCE (or twice). Since I've been in college, I rarely use textbooks unless its for English class so it wasn't a surprise that I hadn't used the book.
It was not intentional that I decided to sell the book back to Valore Books now that it is the end of the semester and I am positive I will never use the book. The ISBN on the site matched the ISBN on the book I had, though, the picture on the site didn't match the cover of my book. I didn't think that would be an issue since when I first ordered the book back in January, I didn't receive the book pictured.
This is from the first e-mail I received where the issues started.

I sent an e-mail asking what was going on and they told me they don't accept international copies and would not issue me a check. I told them that was ridiculous since they sold me an international copy when I didn't ask for one. I also asked for them to send my book back to me. Here is what they said back.

I am enraged to say the least. No matter how much money I have I
REFUSE to let someone "beat me in the head!!!" If I wanted to pay for shipping, I wouldn't need the book back to re-sell. I'm not going to send them $5.00 so I can sell the book back for $10.00 when I paid $25.00 originally.

If you think I have a reason to be mad and are tired of dealing with these textbook companies who don't care that college students are broke and cant afford $100 textbooks every semester, re-post this and/or don't buy from Valore Books. I'm starting to think that stealing the books from the school book store is a good idea. They don't care about our wallets, so why should we care about theirs?
This was the book I ordered in January for my Managerial Communications class.

This is the book sloppy ValoreBooks.com sent me. I did not request an international copy (which this book is). I purchased the book pictured above and they sent me the book pictured below. When I attempted to sell the book pictured below back to them, they rejected it, refused to pay me, and wanted to charge me $5.00 to send the book back to me.
