I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....

I'm like.... overly excited because I WON!!! I'll get to my prize in a bit. So today started off okay. I was on my way to Staten Island when it started raining. Since I was so early for the grand opening of RICHMOND HOOD CO., I decided to come home and wait for the bad weather to pass. That didn't happen till about 5 or 6 o'clock.

I ended up staying home for the rest of the day and going out with Dominique and Mark to a bowling party. I had SOOOOOOO much fun. I'm like still hype so I'm going to use this energy to get my school work done before I go to sleep.

Anyway.... I participated in a raffle and won $57!!!!! YAY!!! lol.... here are the pics from the night. I had a blast.

i did NOT know....

that Bloomingdale's is selling MCM now! I was in Soho earlier today shopping around for a dress and I came across the bags as I was leaving. The bags were cute, I just really wasn't to interested in the red and white stripe or the sporty numbers on the side (not pictured).

Sorry the pic is so blurry but I didn't have on my cam on me and my RAZR definitely doesn't take high quality pics. If I make it back to that Bloomingdale's this weekend, I'll take another picture.

A.L.I.E.N. Mixtape...

is now available. I got it this morning before I left for work and listened to it on the way there. It got me hype for a party which wasn't so wonderful considering I was going to work. I like it and it will get some pre-party plays. Go get it!

FINALLY.....

I got a hold of that "GOOD Music." My mom (she's sooo great by the way) picked up Graduation for me. I LOVE YOU MOMMY! I'm almost tempted not to put it on my iPod. Everyone is talking about it so much that I don't even want to listen to the album now. Maybe I'll wait a month or so to give it a spin. Or maybe not. I guess it all depends on how I'm feeling on my train ride to work tomorrow morning.

(YES I GET AN ENTIRE WEEKEND!) I had no intentions on doing anything for my birthday but there's SOOOO much going on. L.I.V.E. Money is doing She Got It at Reign on Friday night, Sneaker Pimps is Saturday night, and the basketball game is Sunday. Sounds like a fun filled weekend right? We'll see what happens.

a BEAR-Y good day!...

I took one of my little sisters to Build-A-Bear Workshop in Manhattan earlier. She had a good time and i enjoyed chilling with her. She talks just as much as me. HA!

My mom was somewhat surprised and upset that I didn't take any pics but hey.... it happens. It's not the last time I'll see her. For those of you who give a damn, here's a look at the bear she put together.

I can't not....

talk about this any longer. I read about what was happening in Jena, Louisiana earlier this summer and of course it upset me as it should. Heres a brief summary of what happened via ColorOfChange.org, in case you didn't know.

Last fall in Jena, Louisiana, the day after two Black high school students sat beneath the "white tree" on their campus, nooses were hung from the tree. When the superintendent dismissed the nooses as a "prank," more Black students sat under the tree in protest. The District Attorney then came to the school accompanied by the town's police and demanded that the students end their protest, telling them, "I can be your best friend or your worst enemy... I can take away your lives with a stroke of my pen."

As upsetting as it is to believe that Jim Crow Justice is still around, it is very VERY REAL!

Do with this information what you want. I don't think I know what else to say about this other than it's a problem, it has always been a problem, and it will probably always be a problem. WHY will this always be a problem? That's a whole other blog post.

I took her to Ruby Tuesdays!!! Yup. Dominique, Ashley, Quani, and I took a trip to Long Island to chill with Brian and meet Ms. Madison Autumn. She is gorgeous! I just realized I didn't take any pics of her so I guess I have to Jack one from Brian's MySpace.

We did the Ruby Tuesday thing then we headed to the like.... number 1 mall in New York. Too bad i can't get to Roosevelt Field more often. We shopped for HOURS, updated out iPods and made it to the movies to watch SUPERBAD!... again. I saw it last Saturday with Ashley. CHICA CHICA YEAAAAA! LMAO.... good movie!

I made it to the Labor Day/WEST INDIAN DAY PARADE this year. I can NOT figure out why I was soooo tired. Ashley and I headed to the parkway to hang with Clarissa and get a good spot kind of early. We caught the police float, the CUNY float, the VIM and Pathmark float and I think the Budweiser float. Seemed like all the good flats were late. I took a nap at Clarissas house and hung out a little bit more with the girlies.

Pretty good day but EXTRA hot. Here are the pics. ENJOY!
