very confused to say the least.
UPDATE!!
I was going through my blogs checking the videos to make sure they still worked and I couldn't find another video for Read A Book. Instead, I found a clip of the creator of the Read A Book song and video speaking about its purpose. Maybe I'm dumber than normal folks because INITIALLY I REALLY didn't understand what was the point in this joint. YES I understand it's telling the viewer to "READ A MOTHERF*CKIN' BOOK" but I was confused by the approach. You take a crack at it.
BTW: Let's see how long it takes VIACOM to take this video down. When it comes to copyrights, they do NOT play!

I got this clip of RAHSAAN performing from a bulletin he posted on myspace. At the end of it, he's tearing. He explains why...
my older brother Selwyn Seyfu Hinds (google him!) put a book out a few years ago called GUNSHOTS IN MY COOK-UP: bit and bites of a Hip Hop-Caribbean Life. In chapter 4 of the book, titled "TO HER" he talks about a break-up he had with his girl at the time, that pushed him to an apparent suicide attempt (by drinking poison). When I wrote the song, also titled "TO HER"(U DONT LOVE ME), i wrote in from a first person point of view as if I was Selwyn tryin to kill myself, and I wrote the record in reverse starting at the hospital bed, taking u backwards in time to right before when the argument happened. Thankfully my brother is still alive today, but that song is extremely emotional and thats why i couldnt help the tears on stage.
